Risk is a natural and necessary part of life. All people, including those with disabilities, have the right to make choices—even when those choices involve uncertainty or risk. This training explores the concept of “normal risks,” emphasizing how personal growth, meaningful relationships, and authentic life experiences may require stepping outside of one’s comfort zone. This training will also consider how supporters can help individuals with disabilities make informed choices and to address risk with their everyday life experiences.
