Exploring Alternatives to Guardianship for Students with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities

Please joint the Center for Youth Voice Youth Choice a four-part series intended for educators of youth and young adults with IDD who are interested in learning more about the range of options for providing decision-making support. The series will review the facts and myths about these options, discuss ways to maximize student decision-making and self-determination, and emphasize strategies and action steps to implement in daily practice. Stories from youth with IDD, their parents, transition specialists, and educators will serve as real world examples of how these options can be used. It’s never too early or too late to learn about alternatives! Certificates of completion for registered participants are available upon request.
