Event Date & Time : April 24 2024 , (01:00 pm - 02:30 pm)

To celebrate “Financial Literacy Month,” The Center for Advancing Policy on Employment for Youth (CAPE-Youth) is hosting this webinar to present our latest policy brief on “Fostering Financial Empowerment for Youth and Young Adults with Disabilities.” The webinar will address ways that states can promote economic self-sufficiency and financial independence for youth and young adults with disabilities transitioning into adulthood.

Speakers from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the National Disability Institute and CAST will highlight ways that policymakers can:

• Provide greater access to financial tools and resources. • Enhance existing financial literacy education models.

• Build upon Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)-funded programs.

• Leverage the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) for partnerships.
